OK so like a lot of guys I have always wanted a Rolex. My wife thinks I am nuts but there is something about a Rolex which is just unique. I do have an Omega which is beautiful but cannot justify the cost of even a used Rolex yet.
But the Submariner is a great looking watch and this Invicta could be it's twin. I originally had the less expensive clone of the 9937 with the Japanese movement. It was quite nice, but the braclet for example was a little tinny feeling compared to the Rolex (I have a relative who has a Rolex Submariner so I can compare the two closely).
I happened to read a review of this Swiss made Invicta Pro Diver and ordered it about a year ago, from Amazon I believe...my friend, there is no comparison. As has been mentioned elsewhere this is just a beautifully made watch, very well finished, extremely accurate for a manual movement. Quite honestly if you took the Invicta name off and put Rolex on it, I would imagine any Rolex owner would be happy with the quality of this watch. I know that sounds hard to believe but as I look at the watch right now, after being worn hundreds of times, it is still a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, very substantial clasp and braclet, great finish, no scratches on the crystal as of yet, keeps really good time, nice reserve so if you wear another watch for a day it is still running and keeping good time.
When you get this watch you will be astonished at how beautiful it looks. My only issue with Invicata is their marketing strategy...I know this sounds strange but their list prices are so much higher than the actual selling prices on the Internet and on Shop NBC for example that it makes their quality appear suspect. In fact they make a great watch. But, they have so many goofy styles out there (sorry but it's true) that they loose a little respect in the marketplace. Also, you don't see their products in retail stores very much, at least in the Chicago and New York area which is what I am familiar with. You would have to send the watch in for warranty repair but if the watch is out of warranty I am sure any competent watchmaker could fix this movement because it is a standard, well regarded Swiss movement.
So if you like the look of the Submariner and can't afford or don't care about the status of the name Rolex, give this a shot you will not be disappointed.

No regrets, no problems, and I've had it nearly a year. Sellita mechanism runs great! roughly +/-10 sec a day. Rugged, well crafted, nice quality, lots of compliments as well. no need to read anymore positive reviews

The 9937 (actually 9937A) is my first automatic watch. I spent a lot of time reviewing the comments and images of this and other Invicta watches before making the purchase on Amazon. It seems Invicta is the most reasonably priced watch maker for automatic watches. I agree with all the positive comments made in this review column and had only one negative comment which has now been changed to positive.
I have had the watch for about eight months and wear it daily. After about three months my watch consistently gained 15 seconds per day, or about two minutes per week. I was unhappy about this. Since my watch was clearly under warranty, I wondered if its service center in Florida could adjust the watch. I have read only a few comments which even address Invicta's service center and those comments did not have much detail although they tended to be either neutral or negative. One comment referred to the long time (3 months) the watch was kept in the Florida facility while another talked about no improvement.
I decided to send the watch to the Service Facility in Florida letting them know that the watch advanced 15 seconds per day. I was notified that I should expect three months to complete the service and I was given a website that I could use to monitor the stage of service. So I knew from the start that I should expect such amount time. That was very helpful. The watch was returned right around three months later.
It has been a month since its return and I am exceedingly pleased with the adjustment service. My 9937 now is only off 3-4 seconds per day!
My advice is if you are not satisfied in any way with your new 9937, you should send it back to their Invicta Service Facility. That's my experience anyway. I do not recall reading any review of the 9937 that discussed the Service Center making such a great adjustment so I wanted to let you that it has occurred. (Also, if you buy your watch through Amazon, you get a free warranty extension to cover five years instead of the Invicta standard period of one year.)
Update on 7 June 2009. After two months, the accuracy has nicely settled down to only losing 2 seconds per day.

The Invicta 9937a is a terrific value. I've had it for about 5 weeks and it looks great on the wrist. We put it side by side with a submariner and the invicta band appeared to be of higher quality.
The movement was about 20-30 seconds fast on the first day. 5 weeks later, it's about 3-6 seconds. The selita sw200 movement is very fine with the second hand gliding smoothly. The face was precisely set and the fit and finish was impeccable (I'm picky). Not bad for a non-premium, non-COSC movement.
Overall the watch is a great value. I had looked at the coin edge model 9937c and preferred to have a non-rolex look but rather a blend between the scaloped omega and the heft of a rolex - without the cost of course. This is a great everyday watch - without the fear of trashing it. I believe that it will survive a lot better than watches costing 10 times its price.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a swiss automatic movement in a premium format. Invicta does well. I will be back for more.
BTW: great timing was a great reseller as well.

I was thinking about the $99 model that's similar to this one but opt'd for this watch (the #9937A) instead. I'm very happy with it. It's a beauty, looks & feels very solid. I wasn't sure if I should order it since it didn't come from amazon directly, but that was not an issue. Actually the watch got to me before a couple other small items I ordered from amazon at the same time did (may last few orders from amazon have taken much longer than they should have to arrive
