I also got it with the tool to adjust the band and that is very nice to have because if you go to a jeweler you pay $8 - $10 just to adjust the band. This is my sixth Invicta watch and the second one to come with a certificate of inspection. So I'm pretty happy about that.

Everything about this watch is nice. The face has no smirky nonsense going on...I guess they call it " artistic freedom "... it's a nice large extremely readable face with an extremely readable chronograph function. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't considered one of the more readable chrographs on the market. No nonsense. Just the facts.

By the way, the fraction of a second hand doesn't whirl around like other chronos; but it indicates the fraction after you push the stop button. Saves more battery that way.

Invicta went the Vegan route this time and provided a very comfortable " technofiber " band in place of there ususl animal skin watchband. The buckle on this is really nice.

I was looking forward to the black faced version of this model. Amazon/Invicta didn't disappoint.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

It's a nice watch but I am a scuba diving instructor and it can't handle the wear and tear. Have already had to take it to a jewelers once because it flooded while I was only diving in 20' deep water. The blue ring around the dial on the outside has cracks and chips that have fallen out of it. I am a woman and it hasn't held up that great; I'd hate to see how it would handle the wear and tear on a guy.

I am very pleased with the appearance and feel of this watch and it is a good value. It is nice to have the day and date available. I did have to take it to a jeweler to remove two links to fit my wrist. The only complaint thus far is that the watch is 16-17 seconds fast each day. I am hoping that after it runs for a while it will slow down a bit. If not it will have to be adjusted. If I can get the accurance regulated I will be very pleased with the watch.

This is my second Invicta watch, and I've been overall very pleased with them. This is the first automatic watch I've tried, and I just wanted to give a word of caution. My job involves moving my hand rapidly back and forth thousands of times per hour (blackjack dealer), and I'm not sure whether that causes it or if it would be this way anyways, but this watch runs fast. Seriously fast. It gains about 45-60 seconds per day, meaning that I have to set it back by at least a good 5 minutes at the start of every work-week. It is a noticeable gain even from one day to the next. In every other way, this is a fantastic watch, but I think I'll try a different brand for my next, and see if the problem goes away.

I Just received my first Invicta from my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. I am a big guy and she knew I wanted a big watch, but I must admit even I was a bit concerned about the size of this watch at first glance. It is a without question a big man's watch, but as I have been wearing it, the weight and size become unnoticible after a while until you catch someone staring at it, or notice it clacking against the desk or keyboard.

I love this watch, but it is definitely not for everyone. If you are looking for a BIG watch try it out!

Yea, you gotta be a man to put one of these bad boys on. This is a man's watch, a big hunk of stainless steel, crafted into something that only a man would want to wear (and a few women), yea, it's really heavy so either you got what it takes or you don't. This is my tenth Invicta and they just keep getting better. I also own a Movado, and on the rare occasions I wear it, it seems so tiny like a little kids watch. Almost embarrassed to have it on my wrist. I'll say one thing about these Invictas, okay two...1. People will notice what's on your wrist and they turn green with envy, and 2. They keep great time. Why should the wealthy people get all the good stuff. Invicta is affordable to the average working man, and there's a price and style for everyone's taste and budget.

This watch as the other Subaqua Collection watches are way too big and heavy. I ordered one and when it came I was unable to wear it for the weight of it was unbearable and the look was almost comical. The face was so big that it took up way too much space on the wrist and was uncomfortable to wear. Beware of the SIZE of this monster. Shaquille O/Neill might be able to pull the look and feel off but any normal sized person will be very dissappointed. I'm a 6'1" Male 215 lbs and it was too big for me. The price is right though if this is what you want.

This is a real nice watch w/ the one exception the the band does not have half links & I have to wear it a little loose, the band is too wide for wearing it tight. The mirror polish scratches easy but it still looks great even w/ the scratches.

This is great watch for building bicept and tricept muscles, but unfortunately it was not designed for easily telling you the time. The dials are difficult to read and therefore not really practical for measuring speed of any other units of measurement. The instruction manual seems to be for any, and every watch the company has ever made (and therefore not very helpful for this specific model). You could never use this watch underwater unless you can see like and eagle and have the dexterity of a squid. The only reason to wear this watch would be to ask those around you to wonder why you would wear something so big and clumsey (just to tell the time). I would suggest that if you really need those around you to stare at you, try buying a cheaper watch and wrap it with different colors or ribbons and aluminum foil.

I just recieved this watch from amazon.com, and when I opened the iconic yellow box, my breath was taken away. This is truly a beautiful watch, and looks so much more luxe than the price that you pay for it. The gold color is so rich looking and the MOP face is so stunning. I know that some folks claim that Invictas are cumbersome, but this was not the case for me with this time piece. The dial is very ladylike to me and you can wear it going out or as an everyday piece. I appreciate the free five year warranty given to me and going on line to register the time piece was a cinch. This is my second Invicta, but certainly not my last.

i purchased an Invicta womens pro diver watch for several reasons. The Invicta name is well known for quality, good looks and reasonable prices. My watch was a beautiful polished gold tone but alas, it was too big. I like small size bezels and for some reason I didn't realize that this watch was not small. Also I prefer an expansion band but decided to try a link or bracelet type. The description was adequate but somehow I couldn't equate the size until it was delivered. It was too big overall, both in size with the band and the watch itself. For someone who wants a sporty watch, it is a great buy.

Invicta is no Oceanus but it is a lovely watch for its price point. Amazon's FREE 4 ADDITIONAL warranty years definitely makes THEM the place to buy Invicta. Had I known what Invicta charges for that exstention I would have bought my other Invicta right here at Amazon.

The only disappointment is the UNIDIRECTIONAL ROTATING BEZEL which does absolutely nothing!

On a diver's watch it is supposed to let the diver know when to resurface. A countdown if you will. This one just sits pretty.

But heh at this price I guess that's what ya get.

Gold finish is perfect.

Band size: SO GLAD INVICTA doesn't think every woman is a size 6! This one is 8 inches. The Wildflower series is a half an inch **more**. In a world where watches standardize on 6.5-7, Invicta is a relief. No waiting on extra links to arrive.

The slimmer the Invicta watch dial, the higher the price. Since they are not Movado thin, I do wish they were priced a bit more reasonably.

If you can't stand a bit of weight on the wrist their Divers aren't for you. I alternate!

What that bit of bulkiness buys is a STEM big enough for you to actually get a grip on. I like that a lot.

The storage CASE is magnifique. Wish I could wear it, it is so pretty.

This is a charming time piece -- unusual flat pale yellow face with black numerals circled by really great looking, tiny diamonds set in stainless steel. I love the strap, wears well. Extremely noticeable, I love just looking at it. The date indicator is cool, too, with separately-changing digits. The diamonds are sparkly, not dead like in some lower-end diamond watches. If you have a small wrist consider the size before buying it as it is huge, but that's the beauty of it; it will stand out anywhere. Delivery was on time and in good condition. The only thing I wish it had is a magnifying glass for the date.

EDIT: I would upgrade the gold stars to a 3.5 if I could...but I haven't figured out how ;-(

I've had this automatic for 7 months now...it is a big, flashy piece, so be prepared...not for the faint of heart!!

One caveat: the reserve on this watch is not good, and you will probably have to wear it all of the time, at least based on my experience. Even when I use a winder, it stops ticking after only about 5 hours after I take the watch off. [Most of my automatics have at least a day's reserve, in contrast].

So, if you like bling, and are willing to wear it all of the time, this watch may work for you...otherwise...

EDIT 8/23/09: Lately, I've been getting more in touch with my inner "bling"...and wearing this watch on a daily basis; the upshot: the reserve seems to get better with usage, and it can go more than 24 hours on the shelf...interesting and welcome!

I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas. As soon as I received it I went online to look at other watches and noticed that the price of this particular watch had dropped almost $200.00. I was horrified that it was selling for that much less in less than 30 days since I had bought it. I contacted customer service and said that I thought that I wanted to get credited the difference since it was so much of one. There seemed to be no one that I could talk to about this issue. I told them that it would be easier to receive the difference in a credit and that I still had time to send it back and reorder it. Seems that the credit would be the easiest for both parties. Waiting for an e-mail reply on that. Let's see how they handle this.

The watch is beautiful though.

When I received this watch I was very impressed, it looks even better in person. The fit and finish is outstanding. It's a very big, heavy watch but it is extremely comfortable and easy to wear. It has a screw down crown and pushers. The bracelet is excellent. I have a 7 1/2" wrist and it fits great. It comes with a Ronda 5050c movement which is a big plus for me. I'd highly recommend this watch. Dealing with Amazon went very smoothly, I've never had any problems with an Amazon purchase so I'd highly recommend buying from Amazon.

I am a big guy and even on my large wrist this watch looks very nice.

The band is a little smaller than I'm used to, but for someone with a normal sized wrist it will be just fine. I have it on the last hole and it would fit okay on the second-to-last hole, but I like a looser watch.

Looks very nice, nicer than in the photos online. The watch is surprisingly thin.

This watch is MUCH more handsome than in the pictures. In the pictures, the face looks plain white, but it is really a more matte/pearl white which gives it a little shimmer to tie in with the stainless case. It is good sized, but not so huge and in your face. It is very thin and fits under a sleeve without any issues. The watch band is a nice soft leather that is pliable and easy to put on. I was a little worried this watch would look a little too girly and was leaning towards one of the other colors of this model, but I am glad I got this one. It looks sharp. See my customer image.

The face is a good size (looks great on your wrist without being overbearing), and the shear "slim"ness of it is great. It works beautifully and the glow in the dark hands are just a bonus. hi all,

no doubt that this watch looks better on a wrist than what the picture shows.

anyway, i felt that it sits on my wrist quite well although i have small wrist. the functions works well but i seldome use it.

the rubber strap feels like its wrapped around my wrist very securely. also i am able to use the existing buckle holes without creating new ones. this was a pleasant surprise because most of the time when i purchasse watches, i had to make new holes to get a proper fit.

i liked the way the hands, including the second hand and the hour/min parts glow in the dark.

overall i am happy with this watch.

This is a good watch for the money. I bought this quite awhile ago and thoght a review after some use would be helpful. This automatic keeps very good time - gains a minute or so per day. You can also skip a day between wearings and it is still running. The appearance looks like real gold when compared with real gold, it doesn't appear too yellow. Even after having all this time there are no scratches on the case, crystal, or band nor are there any wear marks. If you're looking for a watch that is styled on the elegant side but still sporty this is a good example. I have a few Invictas and all have performed very well. I am not a fan of this style of clasp so I rated it a 4, but that's probably a preference thing and shouldn't detract from someone else's opinion.

This S1 Racing Team watch is a great watch, the rubber band is comfortable and is concave on the back to let moisture out. The watch has a screw down crown, and push button chrono functions. I have always wanted a red watch, but not too red if you know what I mean. The black IP and brushed silver case make this watch just right. It keeps great time. Would recommend this watch to anyone wanting a watch that is not overstated. The sub dials are the same color, but different texture from the main face. This gives the watch a very easy to read appearance. The hands are large and easy to read, and are luminous end to end. Five stars!

THE most important thing a water resistant watch can have is a screw crown - which this one does not.

Although you'd never know because Amazon doesn't include Crown type or material in any of their watch specifics!

And unless you take extremely good care of the rubber strap(I mean anal) on this watch it will fall apart.

I like how they put their little marketing pictures in the ad telling you about all the processes it goes through during manufacture. What they don't tell you is that process only applies to their most expensive multi-thousand dollar watches.

Watch looks good, and got it for about $30 on an Amazon special. The only problem is that after 2 months, it can't keep time and loses 5+ minutes/day. Figured it could be the battery, and just ordered one from Amazon to try that solution. Perhaps it was keeping great time for a year or two in a warehouse before it made it to my house. BTW, leather band looks and feels cheap, but then for $30, it shouldn't be a big surprise.

Update: Replaced battery, and now keeps good time. Hopefully, it was a storage issue in a warehouse, rather than needing a frequent battery replacement. It's worth $30.

I chose this particular watch because I wanted a smaller sized face and band ( I am a man). It is quite attractive and has kept accurate time over the month I have owned it. The unidirectional bezel (it only turns counter clock-wise) was quite stiff at first, but has loosened nicely over time. I have not taken it into the water, though I do not doubt its worth as a dive watch.

Regarding the band: Yes, it will probably need to be adjusted to your wrist. A local jeweler did this for me in a few minutes for $7. Unless you really want to mess with it, I recommend doing likewise.

After wearing a plastic sports watch for so long, I thought this would be heavy, but it took only a few minutes to not even notice this watch on my wrist. It generates constant comments, always about its size; but this is a handsome, aesthetically pleasing, well-designed watch and that is of foremost importance to me. I always own about six or eight watches. I really think they are the only statement a man can make via jewelery. Now, some of the Nautica chronographs, for example, are very handsome and nicely priced. But I suddenly think that type of watch is obsolete. Women are wearing watches as big as most men's watches. There is something going on here that this watch really opened my eyes to. My next watch will almost certainly be an Invicta--probably from the Russian Diver collection, as big or bigger and with a colored face...

I just ordered this watch from Amazon. Price is always a consideration, so I waited until Christmas pricing kicked in. Right now, with 25 percent discount and free shipping, this watch cost me a little over $110.

But it seems to be a good value even at the original price of $147. Hefty but not gigantic case and solid steel link bracelet, hand-windable Japanese (Miyota) automatic movement, screw-down gold-plated crown -- what's not to like? And to top it all off, a highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal! My only beef so far, after two days of wearing this watch, is that the dial isn't quite as easily readable as it seems in the photo on Amazon -- not bad, but not highly readable in all lighting conditions, and too little luminous material on the hands. I think on-line photos (if they are, in fact, actual photos) are somehow digitally enhanced to emphasize certain features like readability.

The gold accents on bracelet and watch case put this watch solidly in the category of dress sport -- formal enough for office but rugged enough for a plunge in the pool after work. And the mirror-shiny gold combined with brushed stainless steel is a good look that is not too ostentatious or glitzy. The gold-and-black rotating timing bezel around the dial is really good-looking and the bezel rotates easily but isn't sloppy/loose.

Just as a matter of personal taste, I wish Invicta could make their dress-sport automatic divers just a tad thinner in the case. Invicta makes dozens of models in this category, most with the Miyota automatic movement and the Rolex Submariner-Omega Seamaster Professional styling, but with thicker cases. Just a small quibble. I can get used to wearing a watch this good looking.

This is a great entry point into the Invicta line of automatic watches. It is a sizably large watch without being huge. It has a prominent presence on the wrist. It is a well made time piece of substancial weight, and keeps good time. The pictures provided are true to the watch, it only looks better in person. The date window is large enough to be easily read, and the exhibition case back is a nice plus. There is nothing negative to say about the watch. It delivers in every way, in fact, you are getting a far greater value in this price range than expected. This is consistant with Invicta's philosophy of high quality value pricing for the customers benefit. You always will find that no matter what model or style watch you buy from Invicta, you will be holding a time piece worth at least twice the purchase price. I bought this "Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Stainless Steel Watch #6053" to add to my other automatic watches...I'm calling these Invicta watches Attractive & Affordable Automatics...and it's mostly good...with a few drawbacks worth considering.

The pros:

-nicely presented watch with features like an exhibition back and detailed rotor

-coin-style unidirectional bezel

-the movement is spec'd to be bi-directional [more efficient winding] with more reserve power [runs longer]

-hefty without being overwhelming

The cons:

-the luminescence in the dark is lacking: only the hands have much glow, while the hour markers can barely be seen

-the crown does not screw in: water entry and inadvertent settings changes are more likely

-the automatic movement might actually be Chinese...see Tag's excellent review of the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Stainless Steel Watch #6067 for more information.

-the movement cannot be wound manually like the older ones mentioned below

This watch shares the above with its "sister" series 605x & 606x models, and I can only guess that Invicta has decided to cut some corners in their newer generation of watches, much like the proverbial "new & improved" candy bar. When compared to the older models, such as the Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection for Automatic Watch #8926 or Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch #9094, the "cons" take on more relevance. These older models are said to have the Citizens Miyota movement, and include the screw-in crown.

Overall, it is still a lot of automatic watch if you buy it for ~$100...and don't mind the lack of support [discussions on Invicta's infamous inflated MSRPs and non-existent customer service can be found all over the Web], you could do a lot worse!

Edit 2/6/10: Amazon is running a 25% off promo on this watch until 2/11/10...which currently makes it a $60 purchase...I'd be a buyer now if I hadn't acquired one already!

This is a lot of watch for the money. At 47 mm it is much larger than my Invicta 8926 and a bit larger than my Seiko Monster. There are a few areas where Invicta cut back I'm sure to keep the price down for such a large watch and they are worth mentioning. The crown is a regular pull out and not a screw down. I think it is also only rated for 100 meters water resistance. You also cannot wind this watch so you have to shake it or wear it around to "energize" the movement. On the plus side, I read that the movement is from Seiko and that means it will be very reliable. It has a clear case back so you can see the inner works so that is cool too.

Anyway.... if you have a big wrist or just happen to like larger watches this is a good value. For me it is cool, but a little to big - I am sure I will get used to it. I just really happen to love my Invicta 8926 so it will be hard for me to give this daily wear.

I got the watch in Singapore in a 3-day business day delivery by Amazon - thanks Amazon. The package is good and the yellow carton has a little slight dark grease - maybe done by sloppy UPS packager. After sizing/removing the pin, I notice that one of the pin is not a good quality as it was easily removed. After 1-week of using it the quality is OK. One thing I notice is that the accuracy of SECONDS are not really accurate - well no one can expect an accurate seconds on an Automatic watch. Well I gave this watch a 4 STARS - not bad for a under US $100 watch.

After 2 years of extremely light use (Maybe wearing it once or twice a month for a few hours) it breaks and will not run when the stem is screwed in. Sent it away for repairs thinking it might still be under warranty and they wanted more to fix the watch than I paid for it.

As others have said, the watch looks better than in the pictures. It does, however, have flaws. First the bezel on mine is extremely difficult to turn. I emailed the company for help, but have not received any response in over a month. I have to remove the watch and use both hands to turn the bezel a few clicks at a time. It takes a lot of strength to move it and takes a few minutes to work it all the way around one time. If you use the bezel a lot, I would not recommend this watch. Second, the band looks nice, but has a "cheap" feel to it. That said, the watch does keep perfect time.

One advantage to this watch is the band is longer than most watches I've purchased. I frequently have to add links, but with this watch I actually had to adjust the band to be shorter -- a very pleasant surprise.

I purchased this watch for my wife, as she has metal allergies and this watch has a ceramic band. The band is the 'weak link', no pun intended. It requires a $20 tool to adjust it, and is not a simple task for someone with sausage fingers like myself. Also, the band links are **very** brittle, as the clasp link shattered after a fall off the nightstand (two days after I gave it to her).

It does come with a warranty, but the turnaround time (according to their site) is 6-8 WEEKS.

Another disappointing watch purchase from Amazon. Next year, she's getting something else instead of jewelery.

Invicta has good watches and cheap watches. This is one of the cheap ones. I liked the look and feel of this product. But as I was adjusting the Chrono hands, the hand in the top sub dial popped right off. Cheap movement and quality is not up to par. Sent it back and will NOT buy another Invicta that is not Swiss Made again...

I know of at least 12 other people that have had the exact same problem.

I gave it 3 stars because of the look and feel of this watch. It had nothing to do about the movement which sucks.

I own several Invicta watches so nothing new to say about the overall quality of the purchase. You won't go wrong with a mid to high end Invicta watch!! I do have one complaint about the watch design. The links of the watch are huge and with the clasp design it is impossible to get a 100% correct fit without just getting lucky. Most watches have a half link or some way to ajust the clasp...without either of these it is impossible and since it is a very big and heavy watch this can cause a problem. Otherwise a fun weekend watch!

To the watch itself: Invicta manufactures a mid-size, full stainless steel, swiss ETA quartz movement equipped diver's watch here, which has an overall noble, flawless look. I own an Invicta swiss automatic and the 4862 is the perfect female counterpart to it. most of the submariner style lady's watches we've found were too small in diameter and did'nt fit our needs. This one looks great on my wife's wrist and I would surely order it again. A sporty, timeless watch for those who have an eye for classical watches with character!

EDIT: I found it helpful to mention that the watch is ~34mm in diameter, NOT 38mm!Maybe the given value is considering the diameter +crown. However, Amazon.co.uk says 34mm, too and I used a tool to find out they're right...

As always, Amazon's shipping was fast and effective (and above all free for prime customers!)

This watch came in the standard Invicta cheesebox, packaged the same way as the rest of their non-reserve lineup. The hinged box is a nice touch at a price point dominated by collector's tins and plastic cases.

I bought this watch to wear to work and it fit the kitchen environment perfectly. The big dial is readable at a glance, and the hands provide great contrast on the black face making it that much easier to read. The blue second hand does have a tendency to be somewhat more difficult to read against the black face.

I really like the styling of this watch, which is what led me to purchase it in the first place. It takes more than a few styling cues from the Omega Planet Ocean, but maintains enough differences so as to have its own personality.

All this said, the watch is just plain old TOO BIG. 47mm case size listed does not include the massive crown. The 24mm lugs make it hard (but not impossible) to find a decent strap for it. The 24mm lugs call for a 24mm bracelet, which will make you want to find a strap for it. I didn't weigh the watch, but I estimate its weight to be somewhere around 12-14 ounces...it is a serious piece of metal wrapped around your wrist.

This watch would be great for someone who likes big watches, but unfortunately for me I'm just not that person and this one is on the trading block.

I just received one of these to go along with another Pro Diver, the number escapes me just now. This particular watch is huge. When I opened the box I was surprised at its mass. B-I-G.

Any style points aside, the Invicta automatics in the low price range are running 21 jewel Miyota movements. When you look into automatics you'll figure out that many Swiss "made" watches are using - um - components and assemblies from other countries. Well, one country in particular. No matter. The Japanese movements might be doing the same outsourcing, but I've yet to find anything to back it up. Point is, these are Made in Japan movements and run very well. My other Pro Diver has been fast by MAYBE 5 seconds a day. This one is too new to tell yet.

I go for value shopping and these watches are knocking my socks off.

A couple points:

1) Buy a band sizer here on Amazon while you're getting a watch. Cheap and effective.

2) Invicta seems to have a bad reputation for customer service. I have no experience with them. Might be a good idea to buy your watch from Amazon, as they have fantastic customer service. I CAN speak for that!

Above all, have fun with these. If you bust an Invicta you won't kill your wallet....but you'll rue the loss of a tremendous value. On value- mind the dollar index. These aren't made in the USA. If you think the exchange rate will be favorable later, wait to buy. If you believe the opposite, pull the trigger NOW! (Many times!)

Definitely a stylish watch coming out of the box and onto your wrist. At first I thought the leather in the picture seemed questionable, but it is actually quite sturdy. The watch is very slim and attractive, although I'd prefer the case diameter to be a few millimeters shorter. The face will cover most of your wrist, so it might not be for people who prefer smaller case diameter watches. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is because it doesn't fit as comfortable as I'd like it to, but I am sure that it will over time after the leather has softened.

My final comments: very subtle watch when it needs to be, but still extremely slick when the time calls (get it?)

This watch cannot keep time. I purchased it because of it's thin and fits under my long sleeves. Everytime I put it on, I have to adjust the time. EVERY TIME!

One thing I've noticed is that the crown slips out. When that happens, the watch stops and falls behind by hours.

In addition, Invicta customer service is impossible to connect to. I suspect that they have one person handling THOUSANDS of complaints.

My recommendation is to avoid the Invicta SLIM products.

This watch looks as good as the picture, and if that is most important to you, you will like it. Unfortunately, it does not keep accurate time. Mine has consistently gained four minutes per week for three weeks, now. If you enjoy resetting your watch every few days, or don't worry about accurate time, this watch will work well for you. Another note: the hands are luminous, as advertised, but only in total darkness and then very faintly. If there is even the slightest ambient light, the hands cannot be seen. Be alert to the vendor's return policy. The vendor will "happily" accept returns within 30 days PROVIDED THAT YOU DO NOT TAKE THE WATCH OUT OF THE BOX. Once you have removed it from its wrapping and placed it on your wrist, it is yours forever. The obvious problem for the consumer with this return policy is that the inaccurate timekeeping cannot be detected while the watch is in its box (and even the very dim luminosity would be difficult to detect in the packaged watch). Two stars is a generous rating, but I should have been more careful in reading the return policy; buying a watch online is very risky. The manufacturer provides a warranty against defects in "craftsmanship", but it requires a minmum additional investment of $50 for shipping charges, plus insurance, and requires a "warranty card" which I did not receive.

I am impressed with the appearance of Invicta Watches but less so with their quality. I've bought 15 Invictas since June 2009 and had to return 3 for defects. Today, I'm returning the PYTHON because the 9:00 hour marker fell off. Previously, I've returned a Ladies Lupa, because within 1 month it just stopped working. I've also returned the White Adrenaline Corian edition because the Case cracked.

Maybe it's just my bad luck, but 20% return rate, just isn't very good.

I recently bought this watch as it appear to have an MSRP of $500.00. I looked around and obviously this was heavily inflated. For the watch itself, its very heavy, large and somewhat ostentatious because of its size but all the parts look and feel very solid. The strap is listed as "mens" which I soon found out was 9 inches. Having a 7 inch wrist, this was a big problem and I currently, my watch resizer tool is being shipped. The cost of Invicta doing this is apparently $38 plus shipping in my your wallet which is kinda sneaky.

They also talk about a FREE extended 5 year warrent, which apparently, costs a flat rate of 20 dollars. I'm not sure if I will be getting this for a 90 dollar watch.

"Beautiful Styling, but Question Overall Quality" 2009-08-02

Upon receipt, this watch has an incredible WOW factor. I was extremely impressed by the design, style, size, and overall quality of the outward appearance of the watch. Genuine alligator strap had a beautiful deployant buckle as well. Liked the quick release pins on it as well - great if you swap straps out often. However, upon closer inspection I noticed a couple of the Rose Plated markers on the dial were not plated, so it didn't match the rest of the watch! This is something that Invicta's quality control should have spotted.

The crown edge also was a bit "sharp" if you have to manually wind it after sitting for a while - Invicta should sand this edge down a bit. The watch is no doubt STUNNING in appearance, but I just question the overall quality of the watch after seeing some of these quality control issues which should have been spotted. I had to send it back due to the mismatched markers, and was bummed that I could not receive a replacement, for the watch is stunning in looks and I would have liked to give it a chance to prove itself in terms of long term reliability. Definitely will purchase another one should the opportunity arise. I would have given it 5 stars had it not had the mismatched dial markers. Amazon refunded my payment very quickly - was very happy with their service and will shop again.

I was looking for a cheap watch as a gift to someone. I ran into this Invicta brand. I wasn't expecting anything since it's really cheap.

When it arrived, I had to admit that I actually liked it. It's well built, heavy and look quite nice for its price range.

I own a bunch of high-end watches like Blancpain (over $10k price tag), Rolex, Omega, Concord and a few mid-range brand like Hamilton and Armand Nicolet. So, I have a pretty good idea of how expensive watches would look/feel.

Of cause, you can't compare Invicta to other luxury brands. But for its price. It's a nice watch.

If you looking for a cheap watch that looks better than what you pay for, this is the brand.

If you are looking for a luxury watch, forget about it.

I give it 4 stars because it's not an expensive luxury watch.

I purchased the Invicta Pro Diver series watch a little over a month ago, and from day one of wearing it, I have gotten compliment after compliment about this watch. Very nice looking watch. I was surprised from the minute I opened the shipping box, at the quality not only of the watch, but the case that it comes in. I would expect packaging like this from other watches 10x the price of this one. I am one very pleased buyer. Oh, did I mention it has swiss movement? I couldn't believe it myself.

I bought this watch about a year ago with the intention of using it only for light SCUBA diving, and it has turned into my every day watch. I have at least one person a week comment it while I am at work, and people often mistake it for a watch that costs far more money.

Pros:

Looks like it costs thousands more than it did.

Glows very well in the dark

Extremely quiet movement. Most people probably can't even hear it with their ear pressed to the case.

Rotating Bezel lines up very well with the numbers on the face.

Cons:

Extremely heavy.

No divers extension clasp. (This is a rare feature on lower cost watches anyways. I replaced the bracelet with a rubber one.

Sharp Crown. (This may have just been mine, but the crown was very sharp. It was so sharp that I had to stop wearing the watch, as it was cutting my skin, as well as rubbing a hole through my wetsuit. I took it to my jeweler and he ground down the stem a bit, which most jewelers will do for free. The watch is extremely comfortable now.)

All in all, this watch is highly recommended.

Within six weeks of purchase, this watch formed condensation on the inside and never totally went away. Soon after, it would intermittently stop running and then restart at random or when you would shake it. Went to send it back to Invicta as it is under warranty for a full year; however, when you read the instructions on their website, you'll notice it will cost you $28 for shipping and "handling" -- that's over half the price of the watch! I decided to cut my loses and not gamble on another one -- if I had it repaired by them, it would now be $78 I would have spent on this watch. After reading some more Invicta reviews, I started to notice a trend of inconsistent quality, so I'd rather go ahead and spend $50 again on well known name brand with a good reputation like Seiko, Pulsar, etc... Invicta may be a Swiss owned company, but their watches are not Swiss quality -- more like China knock offs -- be very careful and know up front that warranty service will cost you $28

The picture does NOT do this watch any justice. Do not hesitate to pull the trigger if you are thinking of buying this one. The face is beautiful! The hands are a litle darker blue than portrayed in the picture. Note that with the Lupah's, the crystal is curved and gives a magnified appearance. Some do not care for that feature, but my personal opinion is it sets the Lupah line apart from the rest! I have had no issues with the band what so ever. I am assuming Invicta changed the band because my watch had a standard buckle type band, not a deployment buckle. No disappointments!!!!!

Like I said this watch is awesome and is most certainly one of my favorite watches and was one of my first swiss made invictas and since it was swiss made it came with a certificate of inspection with a extensive checklist that was personaly filled out and signed by the person that inspected it which was cool. But I must say the picture doesnt do this watch justice you have to see this watch in person to fully appreciate the huge domed crystal. And I love the combination of brushed and polished stainless steel finishes on the case. But Im only giving it 4 stars because the technofiber band isnt the greatest. Its lined with leather but since the outside is made up of cloth fibers it snagges easily on things. But thats not a big deal for me because I think Invicta was just trying to make a more comfortable band and tried something new with the technofiber and it is comfortable but Its just not so durable so I think they wised up and ditched the whole technofiber thing altogether because I havnt seen it since. So lets hope they keep it that way.

So far I am loving this bold watch! I love the size, the color combination (I have the grey face), but most of all the iridescent blue of the chrono and sub-dial hands- Gorgeous! Giving 4 out of 5 (would really like to give 4.5!) only because I do not find this strap's butterfly clasp comfortable, and in fact it cuts and scratches me inside of the wrist. Trying to find a replacement strap but 25mm seems to be an odd size even for Lupah.

I've only been collecting watches for about a year, so I was not around when the whole "Lupah Craze" started years ago. When I first saw them presented on ShopNBC, I thought they looked a little silly and weird. As time went by, I started to appreciate the few Lupah models I saw.

Two months ago, I received my first Lupah. It was a standard model with a blue dial and a blue Lorica strap. I loved it! The case was large, but not huge, and it wrapped around my wrist. The Lorica strap was very comfortable and that blue color was eye catching.

Since that first blue Lupah, I have not been able to get enough of them. I love the rounded pushers, the various sized cases, the comfy straps, the bright colors, and the nice, heavy weight. But, for those of us over 40, the magnification is a top feature. I love not having to put my reading glasses on to read the time.

The Zen Lupah is larger than my other models. It takes up the entire area of my 7 inch wrist. It is a solid chunk of steel, but it is comfortable to wear. The only improvement I'd make is the strap. I am not a fan of the newer techno strap Invicta is using on the Lupahs. I prefer the Lorica. And, the Zen's strap is very long. I have it in the last hole and it is still a little loose. Although the clasp is an upgrade, with the thickness and excess length of this strap, the clasp does not stay closed easily. It pops open with little more than a small wrist movement. So, I'll change out the strap, but everything else is great with the Zen!

I'm stunned by all 5-star reviews. I think it's a 2 or 3-star watch at best. But I'm a bit ticked off that Amazon charged me for return shipping (after delivering it to a wrong address). So... 2-stars it is.

Now, more on the watch itself...

First of all, THE SIZE. The watch it's simply too big. I'm a big guy myself, but this thing looks ridiculous on my hand. Sure, people would notice it, but then again: if you hang a cuckoo clock on your chest, it would be hard to miss, too.

Secondly, the shape. If you look straight down on it, the case is almost as wide as it is high. If you look from the side, it stands pretty high off your wrist, too. The squareness is quite prominent in the shape of the case.

Thirdly, the rectangular dial may look unusual, but the minute marks are now distributed unevenly along the perimeter. Because of that, it's rather difficult to tell minutes, especially when the minute hand is near each of the four corners.

And, finally, I think the designers spent majority of their time on its front, and placed very little effort on its sides. So, the watch is rather plain-looking from either side. And, for a timepiece of this size, it's quite noticeable.

Comparing it side-by-side with my Invicta 4736 (an earlier model similar to Invicta Men's Specialty Mechanical Watch #4735), this watch feels like a few steps down.

I will start off by saying that this was a fantastic buy. I got this watch for $89.99 with Free 1-Day Shipping; no complaints here at all. The watch arrived on time and everything was in superb shape. The watch itself looks very nice, you could pass it off as a more expensive watch. The only difference I noticed between the watch and the pictures here is that the gold is a bit brighter/more yellowish in the pictures. The watch is a bit large and the weight of the watch is definitely noticeable, but it is certainly not over the top. It is a mechanical watch, so you will have to wind it which some of you Quartz movement fans might not like, but there's nothing quite like owning a good mechanical watch when you take the small steps to properly care for it. Unless you REALLY need a watch to be Quartz movement or the person you are buying a watch for is not a fan of gold, I would strongly recommend buying this watch while it is a steal. Even if it was $400-500, I would consider buying this watch.

I purchased this watch for my son after he showed some interest in my personal watch collection. I love fine watches and have several swiss made watches that are quite valuable. From this perspective I'm quite happy with this watch. It is a quartz movement with a solid miyota moevement that should last for many years. Having a quartz movement with a battery means that you don't have to wind this watch or keep it in a watch winder, which may appeal to people wanting a more simple movement and the trouble free aspects of quartz. The watch seems to keep good time with it losing less than 5 seconds per day out of the box. The overall construction looks good with a nice fit and finish to the entire watch. The band is very nicely constructed, easy to size and adds a solid feel to the watch. It is a combination of polished and brushed stainless steel which is easy to keep looking great with a bit of cape cod cloth and effort. The dial is easy to read and actually quite beautiful. The bezel is unidirectional and feels pretty solid although there is a bit of slop in the fit of the bezel.

Overall a very good value and a nice watch for under $100.00.

The watch is nice, clear white face with neat black subdials. Chronograph with 1/10 of seconds. The watch is big, 44mm. No 5 star because the black rotating bezel is loose, it does not feel tight, I don't know if it could fall off. But overall a good watch. I recommend it.

"Big, Bold, Beautiful" 2009-11-08

Got a super deal on mine. The genuine calf leather band is pretty thick and more a little difficult than a band of standard thickness to buckle. It is heavy, but not annoyingly so. The crown cap is excessive. It rubs your wrist if you bend your hand back. The whole watch pretty big. You get used to it after a day. Keeps accurate time. Had it for a few months and still not one minute off. Just got the 6606 model (stainless case, black dial) for my cousin. This line is apparently modeled after the super cool Classico line of U-Boat watches. The real one has the crown on the left. You can also get the U-Boat in a more interesting color scheme: black dial on black case. But that watch is 30-60 times more expensive. All in all, this is a very good (not great) watch for a guy with a large frame (7.5" wrist). And yes, you get noticed.

I've only had this watch a day, so I can't comment on its longevity (i.e. crystal susceptibility to scratches, etc.), but I love it. It is really a handsome watch with a good weight. I got a great deal here on Amazon which introduced me to the brand.

A couple comments: The face is a dark blue with an engraved grid pattern. It also has a REALLY nice feature that when you pull the crown out one stop, the watch keeps going. This lets you advance the date during 30-day months without messing up the time. This is one of my pet peeves since I can't stand to have the date wrong yet I don't want to have to set the time every two months (on average).

The watch band is also very thick which makes it a little stiff, but it comes pre-curved. It is finished in a weird plastic way that sort of makes it look not like leather. The strap is also difficult to stick under the loop.

Functionally, the luminescent hands don't do much. Also, the crown O-ring does not feel like it is really sealing, but I don't plan on getting water on it anyway due to the band. Pulling the crown out is a little difficult since it is very small in order to fit under the cap which is held by the buckle/loop over the chronograph start button. Turning the crown to set the date/time also is not very smooth, like possibly something is bent, so I hope this does not cause any future issues.

The warranty is 1 year, but only if purchased from an authorized dealer. To obtain any service, you have to ship it plus a $28 handling fee. There is an optional extended warranty that covers an additional 4 years for $55, I believe.

In sum, I love the look and feel of this watch. The way that the date sets means I will like this watch a lot more since I can easily advance the date. Hopefully, it will prove durable.

I forgot to mention...........I love my Corduba collection!!

This watch like all of the Invicta,s are classy, and they will get noticed!!! This is my fourth Corduba....(I gave my first one to my little brother), so now I am down one and looking to up my collection....with another Corduba or two, and a Russian Driver or three. If you haven't gotten it yet please develop it soon, and keep it...the "Invicta Fever"!! Because, once you buy one you will not be able to pass on such great prices, class, style, and selection.

This is a great watch, but it will get noticed and some people told me on my next purchase I might as well just get a wristclock, lol... that's the biggest watch I'll ever own but I'm happy with it so far, I'm used to it and I also love big watches.

Yeah it's definately BIG, but I'm a big guy so it works. Looks much better in real-life. Great color and feels extremely solid, very heavy weight. You'll love the feel of this on your wrist. The dial pokes into your wrist occasionally and could be discomforting but you get used to it. I try and wear it a bit higher on my wrist to prevent this. Great warranty too. I'm definately appreciating Invicta's style and quality so far. I will be buying more.

Invicta has some BIG watches and this may be the biggest one yet! Very heavy and well built divers watch. The only issue i have is that because the watch

is so large the dial digs in to my hand when wearing long sleeves.

This was an excellent purchase. The watch is beautiful and very large. It is well-made and attracts attention whenever I wear it. You can't beat it for the price paid. It is excellent in quality, and although the band is a little stiff at first, even it is of higher quality than others I have purchased. "Amazing value" 2010-02-06

This Invicta 6055 watch is an amazing value. Its solid, has an accurate movement and fairly classically styled. The style draws inspiration from Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner but is really its own. The watch is massive and heavy. If you have a small wrist, skip it.

There are a few shortcomings in this watch that I'm happy to forgive given the low price.

- Non screw-down crown; a diver watch w/o that isn't really a divers watch. Should be good for taking a shower but not for dives.

- Non-hacking movement

- No manual-winding support

The fit & finish is amazing at this price point, but not up to Swiss watch standards. All in all, a good watch at a bargain price!

My friend ordered this watch, but I accidentally got the #6054 (same, but blue) and I ordered this one shortly after since the blue one was so nice. They have a very smooth movement and work quite well. I have 5 other Invicta watches, and have given out 3 more and the Japanese movement on this automatic is quite impressive (I have both Swiss and Japanese on the others). The build quality is excellent as usual, and I love the finish of the stainless steel. The green is lighter in the picture than it is in person, but it's a nice green.
